Cheryl Geremia is a visionary leader with executive experience in the financial services industry. An expert at strategy and leading large-scale, complex transformations, she has guided some of the world’s most respected financial institutions through massive transformations that changed the growth trajectory and enterprise value of those firms.

Her robust career includes executive leadership roles at the NYSE, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley with deep domain expertise in risk management, cyber security, operational continuity, data governance and regulatory compliance.

Most recently, as the Global Head of Operational Risk at Morgan Stanley, she was responsible for 300 professionals covering areas such as cyber-security, fraud, vendor interface, and electronic trading risk. While at Morgan Stanley, Cheryl established global specialty teams, created firm-wide standards for bank capital usage, led a program to ensure the operational continuity of all Morgan Stanley subsidiaries, and established board committees and governance forums to oversee the management of operational risk and security.

Cheryl believes investing in people is a key component of paying it forward. As Co-President of the Women’s Bond Club, she is deeply committed to the mission of empowering women in financial services and advancing their careers by providing essential resources like mentorship, sponsorship, scholarship and access to intellectual capital as a leader of this 2,000+ member organization. Beyond education, Cheryl played a pivotal role in reshaping the organization’s membership models and implementing sound financial structures. These strategic efforts ensure the Women’s Bond Club thrives and can continue to expand its vital programming, ongoing learning opportunities and scholarships, now and in the future.

Cheryl graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from CUNY and earned a Master’s in finance from St. John’s University. She is a certified Public Accountant and a Registered Finance and Operations Principal.
