Meagan Smith has spent the past ~20 years at Microsoft focusing on meeting our customers business objectives with our innovative technology solutions. She is currently a Regional Director of Sales in Microsoft’s Northeast Region, covering Professional Services customers in both the Legal and Government Consulting Industries. Meagan is responsible for over $235M in revenue across our billed and cloud businesses. She is responsible for ensuring that our teams drive business value to customers, accelerate sales execution, and delivers a predictable, healthy and compliant business. She delivers transformational leadership by role modelling a learn-it-all culture, building and developing high-performing teams through coaching to deliver business outcomes to our customers based on their objectives and priorities.


Prior to this role, Meagan was the Chief of Staff and Operations for Microsoft's Financial Services  organization in the US, where she was responsible for business management and development, sales excellence, customer engagement, marketing operations, talent management, communications and cultural transformation across Financial Services in the US. She oversaw the 1150+ person team with revenues over $7 billion dollars (selling to the top Worldwide Banks, Insurance Firms, Hedge Funds, Capital Markets, including working with the top developers, partners and customers that influence FinTech on Wall Street).

Meagan is an Executive leader with a proven record of delivering exceptional business results. She is able to quickly earn the trust and confidence of clients, peers and direct reports to address challenges, build consensus, and drive decision-making. Meagan is passionate about developing others, and as such, leads a Leadership Development Program to develop the top 5% of aspiring leaders in Financial Services at Microsoft. 

Meagan also lead the Azure Data & AI Solutions Sales Team in Financial Services for 3 years prior to this. She took a customer centered approach in helping our customer’s digitally transform their business with intelligent cloud solutions. Data, Analytics & AI accelerates digital transformation for every organization through data driven insights and action. Microsoft offers a differentiated experience in supporting our customer’s business by bringing intelligence to where their data lives, on the most secure, compliant and scalable platform, with any language, on any data, anywhere. From 2010 to 2018, Meagan delivered strong business impact in the execution of licensing sales strategy across the East Region. She was considered a subject matter expert and leader in licensing sales strategies  including compete, field empowerment and excellence in licensing sales execution. She can effectively create a healthy work environment and strong team atmosphere. Prior to these roles, Meagan also served as an Account Executive, servicing Corporate, Strategic and Global accounts across the Northeast, consistently exceeding above target attainment by driving relationship excellence through customer and partner satisfaction. She has always taken a customer centric approach, understanding her customer’s business needs and helping them achieve their goals through innovate technology solutions.

Meagan attended both UCLA and SDSU and holds a BA degree in Psychology as well as certifications including the AZ900 and AI100. Meagan is married to her husband of 20 years, and shares 2 boys with him, ages 18 and 16. Meagan splits her time between Lancaster, PA and Niantic, CT.
