Ellen Coppa is a Senior Vice President at Goldman Sachs and heads Goldman’s Regulatory Capital Independent Review Group.  Ellen’s function is responsible for the oversight of the management and regulatory compliance of the firm’s capital as well as the firm’s broader regulatory risk.  Key areas of focus include the Basel 3 Capital Rule, Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR), and the CFO Attestation requirements associated with material correctness of data for certain FRB financial and regulatory filings.

 Ms. Coppa has over 20 years of experience in the investment banking industry. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2009 as the head of the Funding Controllers Unsecured Debt and Hedge Reporting and Analytics function before forming the Regulatory Capital Independent Review Group in 2014.  Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she held positions in Corporate Treasury at Merrill Lynch and Nomura and more recently was the Global Treasury Interest and Debt Controller at Lehman Brothers.

Ms. Coppa received a BA from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Pace University.
