Andrea Garcia Castaleo

As a subject matter expert in Global Information Reporting, with over twelve years of experience, Andrea has worked internationally in leadership roles and assisted the largest financial institutions with significant operations globally in the implementation of complex tax regulatory requirements. Since 2010, she specialized in FATCA, CRS and TRACE, combining tax technical knowledge of financial products and services with effective teaming across functions and borders. She is a member of the FATCA/CRS and TRACE Business Advisory Group, sitting at the Working-Party 10 of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Andrea has also worked for governments assisting with the FATCA implementation and drafting of guidance. She has designed and currently leads the AEOI Advantage platform (also known as “GIR Tracker”) a technology that compiles and compares FATCA and CRS rules and regulations across more than 100 jurisdictions which is being used by top-10 financial institutions in the world.

At Deloitte, Andrea is known for being an inclusion and mentoring champion, awarded with 2016 Rising Star Award by the Women Bond Club.

As a leader in her practice, Andrea currently serves as Chief Talent Officer for the Global Information Reporting group, a group composed of more than 150 professionals in US and India.

Andrea is also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham Law School where she teaches an experiential course on Global Tax Compliance.
