Suzanne O’Connell is a Managing Director at the IBM Corporation. Suzanne leads an integrated team delivering both time tested and the latest solutions from every corner of IBM’s extensive portfolio.
Prior to her current role, Suzanne has held various Senior Positions leading teams across many industries including Retail, Distribution, Public Sector, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and her favorite Financial Services. In the Financial Services Sector (FSS) Suzanne has worked with senior leadership across Wall Street including Morgan Stanley, Discover Financial, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, Goldman Sachs, Travelers, BNY Mellon, NYSE, DTCC, FINRA, TD Ameritrade, Credit Suisse, UBS, Deutsche Bank, and Japanese Banks helping them to transform and grow by applying leading edge services, software, and technology solutions.
Suzanne serves as a Chair for IBM’s Selling Capability Thought Leadership Board and is a mentor to many. In 2010 Suzanne launched The FSS East Women’s Initiative which focused through a series of programs to better connect women and foster an environment which would attract, retain, and develop the next generation of female leaders at IBM. The Women’s Initiative’s adaption reached beyond IBM employees to include clients and within two years of launch rolled out from its East Coast origins across IBM’s FSS North America Team.
Suzanne has been a member of the Board for the Women’s Bond Club since 2011 and currently serves as Co-President.
Suzanne has completed IBM’s Harvard Certification Program and holds a BA from The College of the Holy Cross. She resides in Wyckoff, New Jersey with her husband and two sons.
