WBC Volunteers Help Grace Women Dress for Success

Sponsored by WBC’s Charitable Giving Committee

In February, WBC volunteers partnered with the Grace Institute for “Dress with Grace”, an event hosted three times a year. Volunteers helped in various ways, from sorting and organizing donations of clothing and accessories, to helping event participants “shop” the boutique and style outfits for interviews and jobs, as well as breakdown of the boutique. A total of 35 volunteers from WBC, as well as some friends, gave their time to ensure a successful event. Additional support came from many others who were able to donate clothing to the initiative! The event was truly a success and WBC volunteers made an impact on the futures of over 100 participants that joined Grace for the event.

About Dress with Grace

At Grace Institute women are prepared to earn living wage employment, and Dress with Grace helps them find internship-appropriate clothing that will give them the confidence to thrive professionally.  Grace place 80% of their graduates into full-time jobs within one year. On average their incomes will go from $6,000 before Grace’s program to $32,000 after graduating, changing their lives. The support of all WBC women helps make all of this possible.

Check out these photos from the event. As always this event is a great opportunity for us to come together as a community to give back to a great cause and organization. Women helping women!
